Yuga Labs Has Started The Inscription Process For Its Bitcoin Based Twelvefold Project.

Yuga Labs began the inscription process for its Bitcoin based generative art project, TwelveFold, this evening.

Six days after Yuga Labs sold 288 pieces from its 300 item TwelveFold collection for 735 BTC Or $16.5M USD, the company announced that it has begun the inscription process, and that winning bidders will be receiving their NFTs soon.

“The inscription process for the TwelveFold collection is currently underway,” Yuga Labs tweeted. “We’ll post a notice from this account once all pieces have been inscribed and transferred to the auction winners’ empty receiving addresses. A note to all auction winners: There are 21 receiving addresses that are NOT empty. We will hold on sending pieces to those addresses until the next wave.”

At the time of this article’s publication, 36 of the 300 TwelveFold pieces have been inscribed onto the Bitcoin blockchain, according to OrdinalHub.

Take a look at the first 35 TwevleFold pieces below:

“TwelveFold is a base 12 art system localized around a 12x12 grid,” the project’s artist, Michael Figge tweeted on March 5th. “The collection of 300 inscriptions is made up of 25 different series of 12, each with their own motif. Each series maintains a theme spread across 12 unique pieces. Like crypto, the collection isn't so much linear but cyclical, with four different color palettes progressing throughout: winter, spring, summer, autumn. It's a nod to being optimistic whether we're in a Crypto Winter or a Defi Summer. Every TwelveFold piece will be inscribed onto a satoshi with a satpoint ending in the number 12, and the ‘postage’ associated with each inscription will be 12121.”

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow the TwelveFold project. Stay tuned for updates!
