Yuga Labs Revealed That Environment Tiers Matter In Its Legends Of The Mara Game

Yuga Labs gave Voyagers their first look at the mechanics behind the company’s Legends of The Mara game explained the role that Otherdeeds will play in the 2D experience later this year.

“Environment tiers matter,” Yuga Labs tweeted from its OthersideMeta account on Tuesday. “In LoTM, an Environment tier dictates the number of workers (Koda, Kodamara, Farmer Mara, and Hunter Mara) that you can allocate to an Otherdeed. This capacity limit only applies to those in Hunter and Farmer roles, as Enchanters do not affect worker placement capacity.

This means that Otherdeeds with a one-tier environment will only be able to have one farmer or hunter working on it at any given time while a five-tier environment will be able to have five workers working at any given time.

As Yuga Labs revealed that environment tiers matter for Farmer Maras and Hunters Maras, the company also revealed that Enchanter Maras operate by their own rules set of rules. “Separate Enchanter capacity rules will be revealed later,” Yuga Labs said.

Further, Yuga Labs announced that Voyager’s Kodas can be assigned as a Hunters, Farmers, or Enchanters during the Legends of The Mara game.

Today’s update is the second major Legends of the Mara update that Yuga Labs gave Voyagers in the last week.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs revealed that Otherdeeds will serve as players “boards” during the Legends of the Mara 2d gaming experience later this year and that only one Vessel can nest (AKA become a Mara) on an Otherdeed at a time.

“Only one Vessel can be nested on any given Otherdeed Expanded at a time, so choose your first Vessel(s) to nest into Mara wisely,” Yuga Labs’ Gaming Team explained in a press release last week. “The mechanics of nesting will be further defined in the LoTM Litepaper.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, every Otherdeed holder is able to claim one Vessel per Otherdeed they own.

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow the Legends of The Mara and will keep you posted on all things Otherside!
