Yuga Labs Revealed That Sediment Tiers Matter In The Legends Of The Mara Game. Here's what We Know:
Tuesday was anything but boring around the swamp as Yuga Labs gave Voyagers new information about its highly anticipated Legends of The Mara game.
For the third week in a row, Yuga Labs took to Twitter and gave Voyagers new information of the Legends of the Mara game mechanics; this time informing players that Sediment tiers will matter.
“In last week’s update, we shared how Environment tiers affect worker capacity in LotM. Tiers matter when it comes to Sediment, too,” Yuga Labs tweeted from its OthersideMeta account. “The higher your Sediment tier, the more Sediment Fragments your Otherdeed will produce.”
Otherdeed Sediment tiers range from 1 to 3 and Voyagers can check their Otherdeeds’ sediment tiers via the “Stats” category on Opensea:

“Otherdeeds with Sediment tier 3 have the best production, while Sediment tier 1 has the least," Yuga Labs continued. “A Farmer on an Otherdeed Expanded enables fragment harvest and additional Farmers and Enchanters enhance the production.”
Further in Yuga Labs' announcement today, the company alluded to the idea that sediment type may play a role in the game.
“Regardless of production, the native sediment will always produce the same type of fragment,” according to the company’s Sediment fragment graphic.

While there’s still a lot Voyagers do not know about the Legends of The Mara game, they do know that Otherdeeds will serve as their "boards” during the Legends of the Mara 2d gaming experience later this year and that only one Vessel can nest (AKA become a Mara) on an Otherdeed at a time.
Further, Yuga Labs has confirmed that an Otherdeeds environment tier will determine how many workers a Voyager can have working on a plot of land at any given time.
This means that Otherdeeds with a one-tier environment will only be able to have one farmer or hunter working on it at any given time while a five-tier environment will be able to have five workers working at any given time.
