Yuga Labs Teased "Legends Of The Mara" Today. Here's What We Know So Far:

It was a busy day around the swamp as Yuga Labs announced a new standalone experience that’s set to take place later this year.

On Tuesday, Yuga Labs took to Twitter via its OthersideMeta account and teased an upcoming 2D experience.

“After we return from Second Trip… Otherside: Legends of the Mara. A stand-alone 2D experience powered by @apecoin,” the company tweeted along with an image of a red movie poster.

Following Yuga Labs’ announcement, tons of astute apes and 10KTF holders deciphered the phrase that was featured on the poster.

“’The Shattered Vessels’ is the top line. What does it mean,” Crypto Tony tweeted after the announcement.

At the time of this article’s publication, Yuga Labs has not confirmed anything about the title or what “The Shattered Vessels” could be referring to.

While Apes and Otherside Voyagers have a lot of questions after today’s post, Yuga Labs’ Chief Gaming Officer,Spencer Tucker, took to Twitter and told that community that 2023 is going to be a big year for the company’s metaverse.

“Gonna be a big year, see you on the Otherside, maybe we finally answer the question, WTF is a Koda.”

The idea of 2023 being a big year for the Otherside has been circulating around the swamp since October 2022 when BAYC Co-Founder Garga told Punk #6529 that the. "Persistent World" Of the Otherside is Coming in 2023.

“The persistent world will be coming in 2023,” Garga said. “There will be multiple experiences, many multiple experiences along the way, but the initial persistent world, where people will have full access to the initial customer experience will be in 2023.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the second Trip to the Otherside is scheduled for March 2023.

“There will be new environments, new mechanics, and an even higher concurrency of users than what we all experienced in First Trip,” Yuga Labs wrote in December 2022. “Second Trip will be a huge step for Otherside and will be more gamified and high energy. The introduction of these new spaces and mechanics will make for a far richer experience and enable the space to open much more frequently. Customizable avatars will not be ready yet for Second Trip, but there’s a fun solution for those who want to enter with an NFT. Stay tuned for details on that. Also, there might be flying.
