A CLOWN AND HIS DOG!: Doug Dimmadome Reunites Beeple With His CryptoPunk’s Matching Regular Punk Pooch

A clown and his dog were reunited after Doug Dimmadome, owner of the Dimmsdale Dimmadome and NFT enthusiast, sent Beeple his CryptoPunk’s matching Regular Punk pooch.

Maybe it’s the time of year. Maybe it’s some Web3 magic. Whatever it is, who doesn’t love a good dog story? Following a fun Regular Punks mint on Saturday, Doug Dimmadome decided to make Web3 history. He purchased Beeple’s matching Regular Punk for .022 Eth and instead of trying to sell it to him an obscene amount, he gifted it to him.

As the Gazette previously reported, Beeple may not have created Regular Punks, but his robot billionaire dog exhibit at Art Basel inspired artist Sheipi. Beeple has also been promoting the project on the timeline, featuring Regular Punks in not one, but two of his iconic Everydays.

 

 

Because of that connection, Doug told the Gazette he knew exactly what he had to do when he saw the dog up for grabs and was happy to do it, because that is what collecting NFTs and community are all about.

 

“It feels good to have a hand in the provenance. This Regular Punk was always connected to Beeple’s Punk, so bringing them back together just made sense,” he said. Especially after seeing how Beeple has embraced the art/collection.”

 

 

 

 

Looking ahead, Doug said he’s excited to see what’s next for Regular Punks and can’t wait to go to the mat with his dogs in the project’s upcoming dog fighting game.

 

“I’m really excited to see the game launch and how people respond to the prize structure Sheipi sets using part of the mint funds,” he said. “I’ve also been collecting higher-stat Regular Punks. There are only 18 with 75-plus across all three stats, and I own three, so I’m looking forward to seeing how they perform in the ring!”
