A KING'S RANSOM: This NFT Investor Purchased A Trippy King For 440 Eth Or $696K USD

Things got trippy at the Bored Ape Yacht Club on Monday after this NFT investor paid a king's ransom for a high end trippy ape.

BAYC member and notable NFT investor EB7 purchased Bored Ape #5116 from BAYC member King Trippy for 440 Eth or $696,000 USD.

Bored Ape #5116 is a six trait trippy fur primate with a caveman’s pelt and a king’s crown. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #5116 is the 330th rarest ape, according to Rarity Tools.

Following the sale, King Trippy told the Bored Ape Gazette that he has some mixed feelings after the deal; but he is excited to start a new journey and get another ape!

“Yes a bit bittersweet,” he explained. “Sad to sell my identity for the past few years, but launching a new fund with the arbitrage guys and really needed the liquidity. Looking forward to shopping for another ape/mutant though, so not going anywhere.”
