A LOOK AT WHAT'S NEXUS: Yuga Labs CEO Garga Shares A New Otherside Video Of The Koda Homeworld Featuring A HV-MTL!

As HV-MTLs get a new home with Bored Ape Yacht Club member and entrepreneur Adam Weitsman and Gabe8bit, the community also got a fresh look at the Koda’s Otherside homeworld, Nexus, which is slated to open later this year!

Things were anything but boring on Thursday after Weitsman announced that he and Gabe had acquired the HV-MTL collection from Faraway Gaming Studios, promising big plans for these bots, including bringing them to Otherside!

 

Shortly after the acquisition announcement, Yuga Labs CEO Garga took to the timeline with a never before seen clip of an HV-MTL making its way through the metaverse.

“HV-MTL looking good here,” he tweeted. “Also a little teaser of Otherside's Nexus :)”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Web3 got its first glimpse of Nexus way back in September 2022 when Yuga Labs released its Before Curtis Otherside YouTube trailer.

 

Since then, we’ve learned that the Koda homeworld is built atop a Chaos Otherdeed, features bits and pieces from every Otherside environment, includes portals that connect it to different realms, has Koda only sections similar to how the Bored Ape Yacht Club’s Swamp is Apes only, and will serve as a core part of the first time user experience.

“Think of Nexus as the ancestral home of the Kodas, with an enormous Koda temple at its center,” Garga wrote in January 2025. “It’s the central hub for all Otherside, connecting realms and biomess through a vast network of portals. in its prime, Nexus was illuminated by Soma, which is the creation energy you saw Blue bottling up in the Otherside B.C. trailer but chaos, the other energy we see in the trailer and throughout Otherside, has really fucked the place up these days.... it is a Chaos environment but a major city similar to Meetropolis. it's near the site of the temple we see in the second Otherside trailer."

Looking ahead, Garga has said that he expects Nexus to open on Otherside this “Fall-ish.” With it, the community can also expect Yuga Labs to start marketing the metaverse.

 “Will be making a big push on the marketing side for Nexus, and have been polishing the first touch user experience for new people coming to Otherside who don't know anything about it,” Garga said last week. “Strong user awareness (via marketing, exciting partnerships) + awesome first touch for newbs = magic.”
