From a viral gaming bug to a full blown, world ending event, this week’s OtherGames was absolutely insane and a whole lot of fun!

On Saturday, hundreds of players took to the metaverse for OtherGames’ ninth event. This week, the Otherside felt like a scene straight out of a zombie or pandemic flick. Pandemonium was everywhere, viruses spread across the map, and there was even a climactic, world ending event to close out the day!
Unlike previous OtherGames events, this week’s Outbreak was special for two reasons: 1. It marked the first OtherGames since G-Spot, HoneyB, Hype, and Makaveli, were hired by ApeCo. And 2. It was the first time the games took place outside the Swamp, instead happening inside the third party created Otherside Development Kit experience, Outbreak, where one player carries the plague and tries to spread it while everyone else races to survive.

While many players had been playing Outbreak since its launch earlier this week, no one had tackled the “large map” until OtherGames on Saturday. And the experience was absolutely insane! Massive Koda statues stood guard at the entrance, and players glided into a sprawling labyrinth with lots of areas to explore and hide in.
"Saturdays in @OthersideMeta Broke out the Zombies to check out OUTBREAK in the big world,” BAYC Member AFF tweeted, “Beautiful maps. I had a ton of fun floating up high and watching pandemonium below! Shout out all the legends who showed up!”
Overall, everyone agreed the games were a blast. Players had fun, and best of all, the community pushed Otherside to its limits, reminding everyone that these are still the early days of Otherside and that things will keep getting better!
"Another @OtherGamesXYZ on @OthersideMetais complete,” GeezOnApe OniZanza tweeted. “This was by far the most attended games yet. Thanks to all the amazing hosts, sponsors, and participants who joined in on the fun. Excited to see what the team will cook up for OtherGames X!”
While the Outbreak event may be over, the games continue on Otherside every night. Anyone can ape into the metaverse to play Outbreak or explore the Swamp anytime. For more information, visit the metaverse’s website here: https://launch.otherside.xyz
