A WIZARDING WEDNESDAY!: Forgotten Runes Wizard's Cult Broke On Through To The Otherside!

It was a wizarding Wednesday around the swamp as the pixelated Forgotten Runes Wizard's Cult NFTs transformed into 3D avatars and broke on through to the Otherside for the first time!

 

 

“Having wizards integrated into the otherside is really meaningful for us,” Forgotten Runes Wizard's Cult Founder Bearsnake told the Gazette. “So many resources and a lot of time went into creating all 26,000 playable models. We did all of that work because we knew the day would come when open metaverses would be realized and our community could represent themselves as their avatar.”

 

To kick things off in the metaverse, the Wizards hosted their first ever Wizard Wednesday meeting on Otherside inside a Bubble space.

Bearsnake took his community on a tour of the platform, checking out the train and more. Yuga Labs CEO Garga and Chief Creative Officer Michael Figge also joined, sharing their thoughts on Otherside and why Wizards should take a closer look at this magical place.

“We want this whole experience to be a place where anyone can build, generally permissionless,” Figge said. “When people look around and they see all the avatars together that’s something people can feel. Here you get a sense of how many folks are in the community and listening. It’s also a great place to bump into other communities and become apart of. We really hope that folks in here that are builders they see these community run things and they take as much advantage of it. We put a lot of work into this stuff, and we hope people use it to grow their network. Our job is to give you the tools and all you need is an Otherdeed.”

 

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Bearsnake and the Forgotten Runes team have always been key players in the expanded Yugaverse, having a seat at the table when Blue the Koda held court during Legends of The Mara and  even inviting Apes from around the swamp to participate in their trick or treat experience way back in 2022.

 

 

Looking ahead, Bearsnake teased that he and his fellow sorcerers are diving deep into all things Otherside and may have a spell or two up their sleeves when it comes to building in the metaverse. “We’re exploring all the possibilities. Stay tuned,” he said.
