AHOY THERE: OpenSea Adds A Lil Pudgy To Its Flagship Collection!

A Lil Pudgy is officially on the poop deck as NFT marketplace OpenSea adds a nautical themed flightless bird to its growing digital collection!

On Tuesday, OpenSea acquired Lil Pudgy #4893, a blue skinned, blue shirt wearing penguin sporting a sailor’s cap, adding its cutest crew member yet to the marketplace’s Flagship Collection!

“The inclusion of Lil Pudgy 4893 in our Flagship Collection recognizes a project that turned a free companion claim into a cornerstone of one of crypto's most successful brand stories,” OpenSea wrote. “A collection that helped take Pudgy Penguins from PFPs on Ethereum to toys on retail shelves, while keeping the same warm, inclusive, and unmistakably pudgy aesthetic at its core. Welcome home, Lil Pudgy 4893.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, OpenSea announced on September 8, 2025 that it was putting together a $1 million “OpenSea Flagship Collection,” that’s mission is to acquire, curate, and celebrate digital art and culture.

 

Since then, the marketplace has collected a CryptoPunk, a Bored Ape, a Pudgy Penguin, a Regular Animal by Beeple, a Mask of Luci, a Squiggle, an Azuki, a Quirkies, a VeeFriends, a Moonbird, a Chimper, a Meebit, and more!
