Many were Birbish but some were more Birbish than others!

In just 24 hours, the Web3 world wet their beaks, purchasing 68,067 units of the Moonbirds’ “Birb Randomized Physical Collectible” pre-order NFTs from Collectors Crypt, totaling over $1.7 million in sales!

“Pre-orders for the 1st ever birb physical randomized collectible are now closed,” Moombirds tweeted. “This is the highest grossing RWA physical collectible primary sale on @solana ever. birbs in control.”
While the number of unique wallets that purchased a Birb Box is unknown, crypto influencer Cirrus bought the most, tweet tweeting that he got 1,640 collectibles for $41,000 USD, representing nearly 2.5% of the supply.
“Am I doing this RWA thing right,” he tweeted.
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Orange Cap Games CEO Spencer first announced these limted time Moonbirds blind boxes yesterday on stream, teasing that they’ll be a flagship part of what he and the team are building around the Moonbirds IP.
“This is a really exciting product and is a combination of something we are used too doing with something that’s new to us,” he teased. “It is produced at the highest quality possible and is not only an exciting new product within the Web3 space, but its actually something that I think pushes this genre of product forward in a more generalized sense. As we look to expand the Moonbirds IP universe more broadly, I think this is something that’s advantageous to that endeavor.”
While the specifics of the Birb Physical Randomized Collectibles remain a mystery, Cirrus tweeted a three-part thesis explaining why he decided to wet his beak.
“Basically just hoping that 1. They're trading cards (The pudgy unopened ones are worth 5x or something stupid from when they launched a yr ago),” he tweeted. “2. They get some type of allocation to moonbird coin (lol) in the future 3. $cards airdrop in the future for using the platform.”
