Animoca Brands& nWayPlay Announced That Wreck League's Mint Will Be On 8/17! The Full Story Here:
Updated: Aug 11, 2023
Things are anything but boring in the expanded Yugaverse as Animoca Brands and nWayPlay have announced that their Wreck League mint will take place next week!
On Friday, Animoca Brands’ Chairman Yat Siu and nWayPlay’s CEO, Taehoon Kim, held a Twitter Space and announced that their highly anticipated web3 player vs. player robotic fighting game's mint will take place on August 17th at 9 A.M. PST and that they have received 215,000 KYC applications.
With so many players/wallets possibly attempting to mint a limited number of Mechs and the desire to avoid a gas war, Siu and Kim announced that there will be a ‘pre-queue’ waiting room set up for the mint.
This waiting room will open at 8:30 A.M. PST on August 17th. Players will want to be in the waiting room before the mint begins for a better chance at minting a mech!
Along with giving logistical details on how the Wreck League mint will go next week, Siu and Kim also revealed their tentative supply and price points for the game’s ‘Majestic Boxes’ and ‘Booster Boxes’ NFTs.
Currently Siu and Kim expect the Wreck League mint size to be 25,000 Majestic boxes that cost 150-180 $Ape each. Each Majestic Box will include the 10 NFT pieces needed to build a Mech.
Further, Siu and Kim expect a mint size of 5,000 Booster Boxes that cost 50-75 $Ape each. These boxes will include 5 random Mech part NFTs that will give players the chance to customize their characters!
Again, these supply and price numbers are tentative and could be changed before next week’s mint, according to Wreck League.
Those who are interested in participating in the Wreck League mint next week must sign up for the game’s waitlist and submit their KYC before August 15th at 11:59 PM PST by visiting https://allowlist.wreckleague.xyz.
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, there will also be several free Mech claims for various Yuga Labs NFT holders later this year.
The First Yuga Labs NFT Mech claim will be for Koda Holders sometime this month, according to the game's roadmap.
At the time of this article’s publication, we do not know exactly when the Wreck League game will launch but we do know that it’ll be live ‘a month or so’ after next week’s mint, according to Siu.
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Wreck League and will keep you posted on the mint. Stay tuned for updates!
