ApeCoin DAO Special Council Member VeraTheApe Announced That She Will Not Run For A Second Term
ApeCoin DAO Special Council Member VeraTheApe just announced that she will not be running for reelection this December.
As the deadline for ApeCoin DAO Contributors to throw their hats in the ring for this winter $Ape office elections quickly approaches, VeraTheApe announced that she will not seek a second term.
It’s @apecoin election season,” Vera tweeted along with a photo of herself from ApeFest. “Ensure your applications are submitted by this Sunday, 11/19/2023. While I won't be in the race for the special council, we certainly need to see more women in the foundation.”
Following her post, the Bored Ape Gazette reached out to Vera who confirmed that she does not plan to run in 2023. At this time, Vera does not know what she plans to do next, but she does plan to vote on Ape Improvement Proposals and keep being an active member of the DAO after her term ends on December 31st.
Vera is the second current ApeCoin Special Council member whose seat is up for reelection this winter to announce that they will not seek reelection.
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, ApeCoin Special Council Member Gerry announced that he will not be running for $Ape office again on October 25th.
While Vera and Gerry have announced that they will not seek reelection this winter, Special Council Member BoredApeG, whose seat is also up for a vote next month, has not announced whether he plans to run again.
ApeCoin DAO contributors who are interested in running for the three open Special Council seats or the one Governance Working Group Steward position, the two Metaverse Working Group Steward spots, or the two Marketing and Comms Working Group Steward roles have until November 19th at 9 P.M. EST to submit their applications to the ApeCoin DAO.
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow this winter $Ape elections. Stay tuned for updates!
