Apes and Tigers together strong!

On Friday, ApeChain’s Typical Tigers project announced that it had acquired and max-staked a Mutant Ape to raise money for real life tigers around the world!

“We just bought a #MAYC and are max staking it on  @ApeChainHUB to earn @apecoin 100% for tiger charities,” the Typical Tigers Founder Don Diablo tweeted from the project’s account yesterday. “The MAYC, the 2000 APE staked and ALL earnings are 100% for charity. We are planning for the future. Long term planning and irl impact. Keep waping.. We will save the tigers with or without you anon.”

Typcial Tiger’s Mutant is Mutant Ape #9226, a seven-trait, brown-fur M1 primate rocking a Guayabera shirt, an Irish Boho hat, and a phoneme mouth!

Following the Typical Tiger’s announcement, the Gazette  reached out to Don Diablo to find out more about this insane move, what he’s building, and why he’s so passionate about tigers.

“It’s just an animal that I think is so well known and iconic for every child in the world,” he said. “The next generation should also have the chance to see them in the wild. This project, with all the utilities it provides outside of charity donations (passive staking, 3D model, integration in multiple Apechain ecosystems) means I am bullish for the future for the project and all holders.”

As of today, Don Diablo and the Typical Tigers have donated $34,578 USD to tiger conservation charities, according to the project’s X account.

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Typical Tigers and report how much their Mutant Ape and max staking raise for charity. Stay tuned for updates
