Apes supporting Apes is in this community’s DNA, and now it can also be in your wallet!

Earlier this summer, Boring Merch launched the first ever installment of its Boring Editions series with community artist Jacopo Lanza, beginning with a free physical poster claim and now ending with an open edition NFT mint that anyone and everyone can ape into on ApeChain!

 

For just 6.9 $Ape, you can mint BE-001, titled “SWAMP DNA,” an original work by Lanza featuring Boring Merch founder ApeWhale’s Bored Ape and Mutant.

“Boring Editions is an ongoing series showcasing original artwork from talented artists across the Ape community,” ApeWhale explained. “Every release pairs a limited physical art print with a one week open edition NFT, creating a bridge between physical and onchain collecting while directly supporting the featured artist.”

 

As the Gazette previously reported, ApeWhale came up with the idea for Boring Editions after creating commemorative posters for a community paintball event in Tampa, Florida. Inspired by the response, he decided to create a series that spotlights artists from around the swamp while showcasing their creations.

 

 “I wanted to show love to artists from within the ecosystem,” Ape Whale said. “I figured why not giveaway free art IRL while showcasing artists. I’m not a dev but always wanted to do something on ApeChain so that’s where the onchain NFT of the art piece came into play.”

 

Tonight, 693 editions have already been minted on ApeChain, and collectors still have until tomorrow night to pick one up for themselves.
