B(ored)MW BALLOT: Rida Aims To Design A Simply Elegant ApeCar For The Bored Ape Bimmer Club Art Contest!

From 3D-modeled Bored Ape renderings to being one of the first-ever Otherside build testers, Bored Ape Yacht Club member Rida has been on everyone’s radar as a premier builder. Now, he’s aiming to take his talents from the digital world to the physical realm by being selected to design a Bored Bimmer.

BAYC members are heading to the polls this evening to cast their votes in the Club's Bored Ape Bimmer Club Art Contest, where one artist will be chosen to design a 1/1 ApeCar that’s anything but boring.

One of the five Bored artists whose designs are on the ballot is Rida, who aims to create an ApeCar that combines simple elegance, gold accents, and the silhouette of a Bored Ape!

“The design for the ApeCar emphasizes simplicity and luxury, incorporating gold accents and a pattern of ape silhouette mosaics to deliver a message of community,” he wrote. “Inspired by the ApeCar project, we blended refined aesthetics with elements that invite connection and unity. The use of gold, clean lines, and rich textures, along with the symbolic ape mosaic pattern, aligns with themes of harmony and togetherness, creating a car that is both a statement piece and a celebration of shared values.”

1. How does it feel to be picked to possibly design this car?

 

“It’s incredibly exciting to be selected for the Bored Ape X BMW collaboration! Being one of the five artists chosen for this unique project is a great honor. This collaboration is an opportunity to celebrate the creativity and spirit of the Bored Ape community while working with a legendary brand like BMW. I’m thrilled to contribute my vision alongside four other talented artists, and together, we hope to capture the community’s essence in a truly special way. “

 

2. Can you tell me a bit more about your design? What was your inspiration?

 

“My design for the ApeCar centers on simplicity and luxury, using gold accents and a mosaic of ape silhouettes to symbolize community. I was inspired by the idea of creating a vehicle that reflects the unity and creativity within the Bored Ape community, while also embodying BMW’s tradition of sophistication and elegance. I wanted my design to contribute to a collective celebration of what makes our community unique.”

 

3. Why should the community pick your design?

 

“My design captures both the spirit of the Bored Ape community and the heritage of BMW. It’s more than just a car; it’s a statement piece that embodies shared values, creativity, and connection. I believe my approach will resonate with those who value innovation, inclusiveness, and a sense of belonging, while also contributing a unique perspective.”

 

4. Do you have anything else you’d like to add or say?

 

“I’m grateful to be part of the BAYC community and all the opportunities it brings, never imagined i can work with a huge brand like BMW . It was also a privilege to work alongside such talented artists, each bringing their own unique vision to the table. I hope our designs inspire pride and excitement within the community.”
