BAYC Member IP Collector Paid 769 Eth For A Trippy Fur Ape, Setting A New Record. All The Details:

Updated: Feb 8

Bored Ape Yacht Club member IP Collector went on a shopping spree last night that culminated in a record setting trippy fur purchase.

IP Collector, known as cameronmoulene on Twitter, purchased Bored Ape #2087 for 769 Eth or roughly $2,307,000 USD from fellow BAYC member and collector MachiBigBrother. This is the highest price paid for an ape in the clubs history.

Bored Ape #2087 is four trait trippy fur ape with a bored cigarette mouth and angry eyes. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #2087 is the 9th rarest ape, according to Rarity Tools. MachiBigBrother purchased Bored Ape #2087 for 42 Eth back on June 16th. After the sale, the notable ape investor said the sale was “for the culture.”

Bored Ape #2087’s new owner, IP Collector, seems to have some trippy plans for the trippy fur ape, according to his social media. “As IP Collector (and Partners) we are building something much larger than a library of incredible NFTs, he tweeted. “We’re focused on creation, using our skills and resources to bring these incredible assets to life. Huge plans on the horizon. A humble, charmed Chimp.”

Prior to purchasing Bored Ape #2087, IP Collector also purchased Bored Ape #4712,known as Curtis at the BAYC, for 100 Eth, as the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported. Bored Ape #4712 is a well-known ape around the club because of his resemblance to the ape featured in the “Bored Ape Yacht Club/ lofi hip hop radio” station on YouTube.

After purchasing Bored Ape #4712, IP Collector gave the gazette some more insight on what he has in store for the community.

"Hello Charming Chimps, my team and I are excited to add Curtis to our growing cast, IP Collector said. "As the face of BAYC's own video games and early lore, we felt Curits was a priceless asset... we have big plans in the works, and Curtis might just be at the center of them...more will be revealed."

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow IP Collector and let you know when he and his team release new information about their upcoming projects.
