Before We Ape Into Project Dragon Later This Month, Garga Gave The Community A Look Back At Some Otherside Concept Art!

Before Bored Ape Yacht Club members, Meebs, Voyagers, and more pick up their weapons and take to the streets of Meetropolis for Project Dragon later this month, Yuga Labs CEO Garga returned to his explainer roots, sharing a bunch of never-before-seen Otherside concept art with the community!

Things are anything but boring around the swamp right now as community members prepare for guns, mayhem, and jank alongside 3,000 concurrent frens in Meetroplis during Yuga Labs’ Project Dragon action game, launching at the end of July!

As community members look ahead to Project Dragon, Garga gave everyone a look back at some of the Otherside team’s early concept art for the Bored Ape Island such as an Amphitheatre where the community can watch films like ‘Night Of The Living Ape,’ Otherside’s ‘palimpsest’ lore that the community needs to reinterpret, and huge Ape amusement parks.

 

“Just trying to share a bunch of this stuff before we break into the new with Dragon,” Garga wrote. “As someone who used to write and edit concept art books for films and video games, I love this kinda shit so figured maybe you guys would too. At the time of this article’s publication, we do not know the exact launch date for Project Dragon, but we do know it’s a 12-part action game series with an overarching story written by Yuga Labs Co-Founders Gordon Goner and Garga. In the game, players will choose their team (orange or aquamarine) and their character’s class (assault, healer, and more), each with different weapons based on their choice.

We also know that Apes and Meebits will be able to play as their PFPs. Additionally, Voyagers, Kodas, MAYC, Grailed, Moonbirds, and HV-MTLs holders are all invited to ape in and play!
