Bored Ape Yacht Club member Madonna is apparently still “fuming” over the Trippy fur ape that she missed out on earlier this year.
In a new Variety article on her manager Guy Oseary, the Queen of Pop told reporter Shirley Halperin that she is still “fuming” about not getting the ape she wanted.
“I was hellbent on getting an Ape and really specific about what I wanted,” Madonna said. “The Ape with a leather motorcycle cap on and multicolored teeth. “I was told that it was inspired by me, and modeled after me, and it was bought by a woman who’s a fan of mine. She was gonna sell it to me, but it was way too expensive.”
The Ape that Madonna was referring to in the article is Bored Ape # 3756. Bored Ape #3756 is a seven-trait trippy fur ape with a multicolored grin, a leather jacket and an S&m Hat. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #3756 is the 123rd most rare ape, according to Rarity Tools.
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, on January 3rd 2022, BAYC member Lindsey Byrnes tweeted about a trippy fur ape that she thought would be perfect for Madonna.
“Hi @Madonna I’ve been saving this one for you #justifymylove /// @boredapeyc,” Byrnes tweeted
After Byrnes’ tweet, Madonna replied and asked what happens next.
“@LindseyByrnes I’m glad you saved it for me. Ape well chosen. Now What?”
While the two were unable to make a deal for the trippy fur primate, Madonna picked up another primate and joined the BAYC on March 24th, 2022.
“I have finally entered the Metaverse,” the material girl wrote on Instagram along with a derivative version of her bored ape. “My very own ape! Thanks @Moonpay. We all need protection from Evil Eye.”
Madonna’s ape is Bored Ape #4988. Bored Ape #4988 is a six trait DMT primate with a sleeveless logo tee, an s&m hat and a bored cigarette mouth. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #4988 is the 3436th most rare ape, according to Rarity Tools.
