Bored Ape Yacht Club Member Snoop Dogg Participated In The Olympic Torch Relay And Will Cover The Games On NBC!

Things were anything but boring in Paris, France, today as Bored Ape Yacht Club member Snoop Dogg took part in the Olympic torch relay, carrying the flame on its journey from Greece to France to kick off the 2024 Summer Olympics.

On Friday, BAYC member, rapper, entrepreneur, and all-around cultural icon Snoop Dogg was one of 1,000 people to carry this year’s Olympic flame from the Temple of Hera in Greece on a 1,200+ mile journey to the 2024 Summer Olympics ceremony in Paris, France.

“I look at this as a prestigious honor and something I truly respect. I would have never dreamed of nothing like this,” Snoop Dogg said in an interview with the AP. “I’m going to be on my best behavior. I’m going to be on my best athleticism. I’ll be able to breathe slow to walk fast and hold the torch with a smile on my face, because I realize how prestigious this event is.”

 

Carrying the Olympic torch is just the first leg of Snoop Dogg’s participation marathon in this year’s Summer Olympics. Fans will be able to watch him live from France every night on NBC as an Olympic commentator!

“The Olympics will be almost non-stop on NBC," Snoop Dogg said in a video on X. “including men’s and women’s basketball dream teams and the biggest events live from Paris. In prime time, I’m going to join Tirico to help bring home the best of the best. Everything from Simone to Noah to Fred, Sha’carri and all the biggest stars.”
