Bored Apes' Flip-Flop Colors Are Determined By Their PFPs Background Color, According To Yuga Labs' Figge

As the Apes were packing their bags and getting ready for tomorrow’s Apes Come Home events, Yuga Labs confirmed that the color of each 3D-modeled Bored Apes flip-flop is determined by an Ape’s background color!

On Wednesday, Yuga Labs shared a six part thread, giving Bored Ape Yacht Club members and Voyagers an idea of what to expect during tomorrow’s Apes Come Home events.

Following Yuga Labs’ post, an astute ape realized that Michael Figge’s primate, Garga’s Ape, and the BAYC’s mascot Curtis all had different color flip flops.

“@mfigge's ape has a pair of green sandals un like Curtis and @CryptoGarga,” BAYC member Dozy.Eth tweeted. “Could it be the pants(shorts in most case except black suits) are "matching" with clothes trait and sandals are "matching" with fur?”

After Dozy’s post, Figge took to Twitter and confirmed that Bored Apes' flip flop colors are their PFPs' background color.

“Yup, sandal color matches ape bg color,” he tweeted. “Obviously aquamarine is the most elite sandal.”
