BORED BATTLE: Aquamarine Backgrounder Phin Erin And Orange Backgrounder Jack Nefty Faced Off In The BAYC's First Ever 'Fight Club' Event!

Make sure your background colors are correct because the 'Banana Boyz' hosted a first-of-its-kind bored battle today between Aquamarine and Orange-background primates that was anything but boring.

Since the early days of the Bored Ape Yacht Club, a battle between Orange-background Apes and Aquamarine-background Apes has been brewing.

“Tension between Orange and Aquamarine background has been around for as long as I’ve been an Ape, and before that,” the Banana Boyz’s Dobbins told the Gazette. “We’ve always had meme battles on the timeline but we wanted to take it a step further. So myself Barry, Tamu, & Kram came up with this idea of “Fight Club” where 3D Apes can battle for bragging rights. Or even in this case, Loser changes their background to the winners for 45 days."

 

With a lot of pent-up animosity towards one another and the honor of each primate's background color on the line, Aquamarine-backgrounder Phin Erin and Orange-backgrounder Jack Nefty entered the online arena and shared their animated fight videos with the community. Check them out below:
