Devastation reigned and quite literally broke the Otherside this afternon as hundreds of community members aped into the metaverse to compete in an onchain version of Squid Games and had a great time with their frens!

On Saturday, over 220 Apes, Meebs, Kodas, Geez, and Voyager robots skipped the traditional subway station game of Ddakji, the face slapping recruitment, and the kidnapping that usually follows in the show. And instead willingly aped into the swamp for Other Games’ third ever event!

Today’s rounds of games were even more dystopian than the first two.

Upon entering the swamp, players were greeted by event hosts Honey B, Makaveli, and TimmyGSPT, alongside GeezOnApe Co-Founder Rida’s primates all dressed as Squid Game guards, complete with pink jumpsuits and black masks. But instead of a shape, their masks read had the Geez logo!

This installment of Other Games played out in two acts, pushing not just the players but also the metaverse itself to the breaking point, stress testing what the Otherside could handle.

All in all, today’s event consisted of four games:

1. The Glide,  a high flying challenge where players flew from a Bubble to the auditorium.

2.  The Swamp Sprint, a race through the swamp to the Mutant Skull lair.

3, The Vote, an elimination round where groups decided each other’s fate.

However, the server had a glass bridge moment and crashed here, cutting this game short!

After the crash, the Otherside was back online in about ten minutes, and the games continued with Red Light, Green Light, where everyone had a blast starting and stopping in the swamp!

After the games came to an end, the hosts invited everyone to claim an Other Page badge titled Other Games Devastation, to commemorate this event!

“Today's experience in the  @OtherGamesXYZ was out of this world,” BAYC Member Hodl tweeted after the event. “It's incredible and motivating to see 200 or more users participating; the Web3 communities on @ApeChainHUB are buzzing.”

Following the games, Makaveli thanked everyone who played and invited them back to the swamp tomorrow afternoon for the Tournament of the G’s On Ape, kicking off at 12 P.M. EST.

“We started with 230 players after 200+ bubbles and the crash we retained 185 players that’s about 80% retention after tech difficulties!!!! Thank you so much  @yugalabs @OthersideMeta @apecoin teams for working quickly and having us back in world in less that 10 mins! Thank you  @OtherPageHQ for working out the badge claim! There are no words for how I feel right now I’m overwhelmed with joy!!! I’m not crying your crying! “
