BORED IN THE NORDIC: BAYC Member Don Diablo Takes Over The Nordic Ape Yacht Club And Lays Out His Big Plans For His Northern European Frens!

Following a winter solstice of sorts for the Nordic Ape Yacht Club, the Northern European community is rising like the Midnight Sun and regrouping, thanks to its new intern and Swedish Ape, Don Diablo!

Winter officially ended for the Nordic Ape Yacht Club yesterday after BAYC member Don Diablo was inspired to restart the group during a recent Meet at the Clubhouse Space where the Canadian Apes' upcoming event was discussed.“I thought, we can do that,” Don Diablo told the Gazette.

From there, Don Diablo got to work. He discovered the club’s old X account and quickly figured out how he could take the reins.

“The X account has been dorment for a while,” he said. “I asked if I could start an official X account for the club and got a reply that the account existed and I just needed the log in details.”

 

This morning, Don Diablo officially reawakened the club online with a GM tweet.

"Good morning @BoredApeYC , @ApeChainHUB and  @apecoin legends," the Nordic Ape Yacht Club account this morning. “May the spirits of your ancestors guide you through the day ᚺᚨᚢᛖ ᚨ ᚷᛟᛟᛞ ᛞᚨᛁ ᚠᛁᛚᛚᛖᛞ ᚹᛁᚦ ᛈᛖᚲᛖ ᚨᚾᛞ ᛚᛟᚢᛖ.”

 

 

 

Don Diablo told the Gazette that around 40 BAYC members call the Nordic region home, and he hopes this new BAYC community chapter will bring them closer together and lead to some IRL events. In fact, he’s already planning a party for next year!

“Flying to the states is a 11-14 hour flight for us so having an event in the north would be a dream come true for a lot of European Apes, not just Nordic apes I think,” he said. “We’re planning for a Nordic/European party next year."

Alongside real-world events, Don Diablo teased that the Nordic Ape Yacht Club might also be dropping merch, hosting Spaces in their native languages, and maybe even launching a Nordic Ape collection on ApeChain someday!
