Adjust those dials and forget standard AM and FM because ApeChain's own Uncle Mac is taking Otherside Spaces to the airwaves with his new Bubbles One Radio station, giving anyone, anywhere the ability to tune in and listen to conversations happening across the metaverse!

Since Otherside opened in the summer of 2025, many communities have gone from hosting weekly Twitter Spaces to gathering in Bubbles throughout the metaverse.

While these digital get togethers are fun because everyone can attend as their avatars, community members who aren't readily at their desktops have often missed out on the latest alpha until now.

ApeChain builder Uncle Mac, the creator behind community favorite projects like Mines and Not A Punks Cult, recently launched Bubbles One, a browser based radio station that broadcasts live Bubble chats from the Otherside whenever they pop up.

“Bubbles works like a pirate radio station, broadcasters using the broadcaster app stream out their audio to the server, the server plays it out over the bubbles.one webapp,” Uncle Mac told the Gazette. “It works on decentralized principles - it needs trustworthy active Otherside community members to broadcast whenever they're in a Bubbles in Otherside.”

By turning Bubble chats into a browser based radio station, community members can now follow conversations while commuting, working, or otherwise away from their desktops.

Yesterday, Uncle Mac launched a brand new feature for Bubbles One, introducing the first iteration of live chat translation that interprets conversations into a user's native language.

“You can also change your Locale in the settings screen, or it will auto detect from your browser settings. Otherside Chat Live translation works in both directions, from [insert language here] to English. It's using a local modal, on a Docker Server - so apologies if the translations aren't quite perfect - but I did not want to set up API based translation, he tweeted. “It even translates @NGBxShpend's Otherside Calendar - also working to make it so that you can RSVP and Submit Passphrase through the Bubbles app directly - AND wire in the Agent API (as soon as James turnes it back on) for auto-proof-of-attendance. Now... I wonder if I could get live audio translation running”
