On Wednesday, Moonbirds announced its highly anticipated special project with StonkBrokers, SockBrokers, a collection of 10,000 pixelated sock NFTs on Robinhood Chain, each redeemable for a real life pair of dress socks!

 

“It’s a satirical play on what a super valuable NFT is and the all the StonkBroker derivatives that we saw so many of,” Clutch Markets Founder 0xSimpleFarmer said on Coffee With Captain this morning. “So I’m super excited for this to go live and who knows…This will definitely change the way you think about feet.”

According to Moonbirds, 5,000 SockBrokers will be distributed to collectors who nested their NFTs through the project's OCG Collector Profile, while details about the remaining 5,000 will be announced “soon(ish).”

As we wait for more information on how everyone can get their hands, or rather feet, on a SockBroker, 0xSimpleFarmer teased that these aren't your typical Hanes socks from Walmart!

 

“The socks come in this insane packaging for high end lingerie, its beautiful,” he said.  “Also the Its silk packaging, socks are not connected either, they are each individually wrapped it’s a beautiful product.”

 

 

 

Bringing SockBrokers to Robinhood Chain and pairing them with premium physical dress socks is a perfect fit for Moonbirds, according to the company's CEO, Spencer.

“Moonbirds has a rich history of socks since the first nesting claim,” he said. “When I took over the project I promised better socks so I’m making good on that promise. Also our holders want something cool on Robinhood chain, so this should accomplish both goals.”
