It was close encounters of the Arb kind around the swamp on Monday as Arbitrum invited all of Web3 to mint its latest “Arbinaut” NFT for free on ApeChain and use it as their avatar in the Otherside metaverse starting today!
“The apes are going intergalactic,” Arbitrum tweeted. “Mint a free Arbinaut now on ApeChain via @opensea and start exploring @OthersideMeta with it as your 3D character!”
At the time of this article’s publication, over 222,000 Arbinauts have already been minted, and Apes and Arbitrum enjoyers everywhere are filling the timeline with photos of themeselve exploring the metaverse.
“Minted the Arbitrum Avatar on OpenSea for FREE...immediately jumped into the Otherside and my lil Arbinaut suit and headed straight for the OpenSeas,” Diablito tweeted. “Ahoy there!”
As more and more people ape into the Otherside thanks to today’s Arbinaut mint, ApeCoin’s Head of DeFi, 0xSimpleFarmer, took to the timeline and called this mint a huge step forward for the $Ape powered metaverse, hinting at a digital world where complex onchain actions like DeFi become simple and easy to use.
