COLLECTORS COLLECT: An Anonymous Whale Bought A Historic Beeple From The Node Foundation For $106K!

Bitcoin may be down, but culture was up as a Beeple masterpiece featuring an out of this world CryptoPunk sold for more than $100,000 at auction!

On Thursday, NODE Foundation's one day auction for Beeple Everydays #5017 concluded with an anonymous collector purchasing the piece for $106,000.

 

 

Beeple Everydays #5017 was created on January 24, 2021, to commemorate the historic sale of CryptoPunk #2890 for 605 ETH, or roughly $756,837.

 

 

This transaction has its place in NFT lore because it took place during the Top Shot days, months before the Bored Ape Yacht Club mint, back when NFTs were a small part of Crypto Twitter.

 

Along with receiving this 1/1 masterpiece from the early days of NFTs, wallet 0x0152206DFC will also receive a physical 36" x 36" oil on canvas painting of the piece, according to NODE.
