COMING UP: ApeCoin's Banana Bill And Thrive Are Bringing Another Season Of ThankApe To ApeChain!

Another season of rewards is right around the corner as Thrive Protocol gets ready to launch Thank Ape Season 8 on ApeChain, with support from the Banana Bill!
Earlier this week, Ape Foundation CEO Cameron Kates released the ApeCoin DAO funded Banana Bill Q1 2025 Transparency Report, revealing how 14.6 million $APE was spent between January 1 and April 30 of this year.
In the 25-page document, Kates and the Banana Bill team also revealed a new partnership with Thrive, the company behind the popular ApeCoin DAO-funded Thank Ape initiative, to support an NFT and AI focused season of giving on ApeChain!
“Thrive Protocol is a treasury allocation platform that helps blockchains efficiently distribute grants to builders who deliver real, measurable value,” the Banana Bill team wrote. “As opposed to traditional grants, Thrive uses a milestone-based model where builders get paid only when they execute proposed deliverables and hit key performance indicators. Now backed and funded by Banana Bill, their genesis deployment — Thank APE — will soon be launching a season of initiatives focused on supporting builders experimenting with novel innovations for NFTs and AI on Apechain.”
At this time, it's unclear exactly when Thank Ape Season 8 will begin, but we do know it will feature activations across six different categories: ApeChain Builders, Built by ApeCoin, Culture & IRL, Partnerships, Builder Funding, and Contributions, according to the Thank Ape website.
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Thrive and Thank Ape have been staples of the $APE ecosystem for years, distributing over 1.8 million $APE to more than 10,000 unique contributors!
