COMING UP KODA: Kodas And Voyagers Fill The Timeline To Celebrate Otherside's Three Year Anniversary!

Everything was coming up Koda on Wednesday as the Otherside’s 10,000 mystical beings filled the timeline to celebrate the three year anniversary of the metaverse’s mint and to get ready for the launch of the always on Otherside this June!

April 30th, 2025, marked three years since the Web3 world minted 55,000 Otherdeeds for 305 $APE (around $7,320 USD each) in an epic gas war that famously crashed Ethereum and led to the eventual creation of ApeChain.

To celebrate the anniversary and look ahead to the metaverse’s grand opening this summer, Yuga Labs officially declared 2025 the Year of the Otherside.

 

Following this tweet, Kodas and Voyagers flooded the timeline with their mystical creatures and Otherdeeds, letting the Web3 world know they’re still bullish and ready to help make the metaverse a reality!

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, there are two major Otherside releases on the calendar this year.

The first release, coming this June, will launch a persistent version of Otherside where the metaverse’s three flagship islands: The Swamp, Meetropolis, and the Koda home world Nexus will be open 24/7. Voyagers will be able to hang out in Bubble Spaces, play poker, and jump into community-created games and activations like CryptoVonDoom’s Bathroom Blitz.

 

The second major release will come this winter, and it will focus on Otherdeeds and their resources.

“We're focused on two releases this year: June release for persistent world with all the things I've been talking about (main islands online, transacting on ApeChain, fun social features like Bubbles, Poker, etc, and ODK games like Bathroom Blitz) and a Winter release focused on Otherdeeds with a fast follow for resources starting to be emitted.”
