Serc turned a 40 x 40 canvas into Normies, and now he’s passing the pixel brush to the community!

Earlier this week, Serc and the team behind Normies announced a new art contest inviting everyone across Web3 to create something extraordi-normie using the same 1,600 square grid that eventually became 10,000 monochromatic onchain faces.
“gm Normies! Announcing our Community Canvas and inviting literally everyone to create an artwork in our Canvas!,” the project tweeted. “We are gifting 10 Normies to top 10 liked canvas. A blank canvas, no limits, no pixel limitations, no borders, we invite everyone to create freely!”
To get in on the action, simply visit the Normies website, create your pixelated masterpiece, and mint it onchain.

From Bored Apes and Pudgy Penguins homages to a slew of pop culture references and designs like Darth Vader and Mickey Mouse, the community has wasted no time putting dot to didigtal paper. In just three days, more than 375 works have been minted onchain, showcasing both creativity and some serious pixel craftsmanship!

Alongside tons talented artists jumping into the Normies project, the contest is also inspiring self proclaimed non artistic frens to give creating a shot.
“Had a lot of fun making this #NORMIES canvas,” EDawg tweeted. “First art I've made in a long time and it felt great as someone who is very left brained. Would appreciate your vote if you're up for it.”
“Give people blank canvas, let them create masterpieces,” Serc tweeted. “This is our motto since day zero: We create together We build together.”
Tonight, anyone and everyone is invited to put pixel to canvas and create a work of art. The contest runs through April 15. For more information or to get started, check out the project’s website here: https://canvas.normies.art
