Everyone knows that Otherside runs on ApeChain rails and that the ecosystem's native casino dApp, Ape Church, has become the largest luck based protocol in all of Web3. But beyond those headliners, hundreds of builders, artists, NFT collections, games, and communities are quietly creating onchain every day.
From NFT collections like Bush Babies and Pixl Pals to prolific builders like Uncle Mac and Moonlyght, ApeChain may be an L2, but its community can rival that of any L1. “I found it crazy that, after everything already being built on ApeChain, we still didn’t have one clear place to discover real founders, real projects, real teams, and real progress happening across the chain,” Pequelord told the Gazette. “
Rather than waiting for someone else to solve the problem, Pequelord built the change he wanted to see onchain, launching OhApe in about a week.
“OHAPE is a curated directory for finding the real projects, collections, games, communities, builders, and digital worlds shaping ApeChain. Projects are spread across contracts, OSWiki, OpenSea, X, Discord, websites, and community channels. OHAPE connects that context in one place.”
Today, OhApe features 424 projects, each analyzed with AI powered scoring that tracks publicly available information, including profile completeness, activity, consistency, marketplace data, social presence, links, and other signals to highlight which collections and builders are consistently contributing to the ApeChain ecosystem.
“This matters because this should not be about friendships, favors, or who knows who,” Pequelord said. “It should be about participation, clarity, and the work each project is actually doing.”
Like ApeChain itself, OhApe is about much more than NFT collections, and Pequelord has big plans for where the platform goes next!
“The goal is not just to list NFT collections. ApeChain is much bigger than that,” he said. “We have games, tools, platforms, media projects, communities, builders, founders, artists, developers, and people creating real things every day In the future, I see OHAPE becoming more than a directory. I want it to become a living ecosystem map for ApeChain. A place where projects, founders, teams, and ideas can have proper profiles, updated information, links, categories, activity signals, and eventually claimed profiles or vanity links that people can use as their public ecosystem identity.”
