Don't Forget To Make Your Othertside Account Before Tomrrow's Apes Come Home Event!

Before Bored Ape Yacht Club members and Voyagers can ‘Come Home’ to the Otherside during Yuga Labs’ Apes Come Home event tomorrow, they will need to set up an Otherside account and connect their wallets!

On Thursday, February 29th, Yuga Labs will be hosting three Apes Come Home events from Bored Ape Island.

During the events, Bored Apes, Mutant Apes, Otherdeed Holders, Kodas, and G-Tags holders are all invited to check out the swamp, take selfies, and vibe!"

But before Apes and Voyagers can break on through to the Otherside, they will need to set up their Otherside accounts, pick their usernames,  and connect their wallets here: http://launch.otherside.xyz

“To join ACH, users will need to create an Otherside account using an email address and password,” Yuga Labs wrote. “A wallet must be connected to this account (can be through Warm.xyz wallet delegation) to verify NFT ownership as admission to the event. Your Otherside account will be your hub for accessing events and your name will be your identity in Otherside moving forward.  Your display name should match your account name, and will be displayed while you’re in an Otherside event.”

The creation of an Otherside account may seem small at first, but it’s actually a big step towards Yuga Labs’ lofty metaverse goals, according to Yuga Labs’ Otherside General Manager, Eric Reid.

 

"What’s the big deal about that? Well, it actually is pretty awesome,"Yuga Labs Otherside General Manager Eric Reid explained in a blog post regarding the Otherside accounts. "It means that you can now set up a single Otherside account and identity, with access to your NFTs and wallets, and that account will be persistent across everything you do on Otherside, including earning badges, loot, social influence, and so much more. It means you’ll be able to play in environments and use avatars which are AAA game quality - unlike any of the stuff that exists in other metaverses today. And it means in time you will be able to play anytime, anywhere, and with thousands of friends across the world. So, yeah, it is a big deal in just a few short months."
