EARLY VOXEL VIBES: Meebits Announce That The Collection’s Original Creators, Matt & John, Are Joining The Team As Strategic Advisors!

The voxel vibes feel throwback today after the Meebits announced that the collection’s original founders, Matt and John, were joining the team as Strategic Advisors!

Four and a half years after the Meebits Dutch auction, the collection’s founders, who also created CryptoPunks back in 2017, are returning to build alongside their voxel creations.

 

“Thrilled to share that  @pents90 and @matthall2000 of Larva Labs have joined MeebCo as strategic advisors,” Meebits tweeted. “As the creators of Meebits, this ensures we honor and build on their legacy. Their vision shaped our foundation and together we'll carry it forward into an ambitious future.”

 

Following the news, Sergito, who purchased the collection from Yuga Labs back in February 2025, took to the timeline to welcome the founders to the next chapter of Meebs!

"Honored that Matt and John decided to officially join us as strategic advisors, formalizing a relationship that we’ve built over time," he tweeted. "I’m very humbled by their willingness to formally support us and to work by our side to bring the Meebits up to their full potential."

Tonight, we don’t yet know what Matt and John have planned for the Meebs as advisors, but we do know that Head of Community BoJangleGuy said they’re here for the long haul, writing: “Bit by Bit. We are building for the next 5 years not the next 5 days.”

 

With that in mind, we also know that Matt embraced the Meebits’ recent “Upcycle” strategy, exchanging four Meebits for his forever voxel!
