ENTER SANDMAN: BAYC Member Joe Mangrum’s 'Installations' Book Mint Is Tomorrow — And Includes A Physical Claim!

Enter Sandman! On Wednesday, Bored Ape Yacht Club member and Sandman artist Joe Mangrum will be launching his second-ever ApeChain mint: a 232-page book filled with his art and stories from the last 20 years!

Following the success of his portal collection on ApeChain last week, Mangrum is back on Blever with a new book mint that will include a physical claim!

“’Installations' and ‘Sand Paintings' Collector's Edition Box Set Explore the transformative art of Joe Mangrum, also known as the Sandman, in this stunning two-volume collector's edition box set,” Mangrum tweeted. “Presented in elegant 12" x 12" format, these books celebrate over three decades of creativity, innovation, and cultural fusion. "Installations" chronicles the origins of Mangrum’s signature style, beginning in 1994 with ephemeral artworks crafted from flowers and found objects in Laguna Beach, California. This 232-page volume showcases complex installations created across the West Coast and around the world, paired with over 20,000 words of anecdotes and insights, offering an intimate look at Mangrum’s experiences and inspirations in public art. "Sand Paintings" documents Mangrum's groundbreaking journey from traditional painting to ephemeral sand art, starting in 2006. It traces his rise as the "Sandman" in New York City, where he captivated audiences with vibrant, impermanent designs in public spaces. This volume highlights his unique hieroglyphic language, blending patterns from nature, technology, and industrial objects.”

 

 

The Sandman’s book mint will be very limited tomorrow, with only 300 pieces available for minting between the allowlist, which opens at 12 P.M. EST, and the public mint, which opens at 3 P.M. EST. Each book will cost 210 $Ape during the allowlist sale and 230 $Ape during the public mint.
