FROM DOUBT TO DRAGONS: StoopidPenguin Makes Sip Happen And Collectible By Designing The Vibes TCG Promo Card For Pudgy Penguins' Kung Fu Tea Collab!

Pax and Polly may be the faces of Pudgy Penguins' recent partnership with Kung Fu Tea, but Orange Cap Games artist StoopidPenguin made sip happen and collectible!

Earlier this week, Pudgy Penguins waddled into its tastiest partnership yet, as the brand took over Kung Fu Tea's 350+ locations nationwide.

But between the specialty boba drinks on tap and the all new Pengu blind boxes on shelves, a limited edition Vibes TCG promo card that comes with every drink had collectors and fans waddling from location to location!

The card depicts crypto's cutest couple sipping their signature drinks alongside a sleepy dragon whose tail forms the shape of a heart.

But while the finished artwork looks like a picture perfect pairing, bringing that dragon to life initially had StoopidPenguin feeling a little concerned because she had only have drawn a shadowy outline of one!

“The idea was originally to create a cozy sunset scene where Pengu and Polly are totally in their own world, sharing their drinks in the grass,” she told the Gazette. Then Steve Starobinsky asked if we could add a dragon to the art, and I cried a little because I didn’t know how to draw a dragon at first lol.”

While she may have been concerned at first, the market and collectors think that the dragon was fire.

Tonight these limited edition cards are reselling for $20 USD on eBay, which is more than twice the cost of the Boba Tea to get them, and Pudgy Penguins are filling the timeline with all their cards as they travel far wide to collect them all!

“It's pretty surreal to see people hunting down the cards in the US,” she told the Gazette.

Looking ahead, StoopidPenguin told the Gazette that she can't wait to create more limited edition promo cards for future Pudgy Penguins partnerships and get the next Vibes TCG set, dubbed Table for Two and featuring Pax and Polly, into the hands of collectors!

And it sounds like she has a few more surprises up her sleeve.

“More to come, she teased. “Just wait.”

For now, collectors looking to get their flippers on the Kung Fu Tea promo card can find their nearest participating location here: https://kft.pudgypenguins.com

The Gazette will continue to follow this partnership and let you know where Pudgy Penguins waddle next. Stay tuned for updates!
