The Doodles x Piet Mondrian drop sold out fast on Thursday as collectors from the Doodleverse and beyond rushed to get a piece of the historic release that combined fine art with a crypto-native style!

Nearly a century after Mondrian helped reshape the art world, his work has arrived in Web3 after the artist's estate partnered with Doodles creator Burnt Toast to reimagine several of his most famous compositions through the colorful lens of Doodles.

“Piet Mondrian built a visual language so iconic that it’s still being remixed a century later, from streetwear to architecture and everything in between,” Burnt Toast said in an interview with OpenSea. “Being trusted by the Estate to work with that legacy and reimagine these works for the first time in history, is not something I take lightly. I'm honored to help bring Mondrian to a new age of collectors.”

And judging by the demand, that's exactly what he did.

The 555 Doodles x Piet Mondrian NFT blind boxes featuring five different works, along with the collection's two physical print releases, have already sold out, proving that, bull or bear, there is always an appetite for quality in this space.
