From the swamp to Seoul, things are anything but boring across Asia Pacific today as the Bored Ape Yacht Club gets ready to make some noise in South Korea as part of the club's broader efforts to meet holders where they are!

On Monday, Yuga Labs took to the timeline and announced that it's ape-ing into the Land of the Morning Calm to connect with local members online and IRL and make the best club on the internet even better.

“Seoul’s been on the Asia Tour list this whole time. Now we’re turning up the volume in Korea. Korea’s BAYC community has always been strong, so we’re showing up more directly on the ground, with a BAYC OG in Seoul helping lead efforts. You’ll be seeing a lot more from us in Korea moving forward.”

To kick things off in South Korea, Yuga Labs invited local holders to connect with the team on Kakao, the country's most popular messaging platform, and announced that longtime BAYC member Bored Kiki will be leading efforts on the ground.

“Finally, after 4 years of stubborn holding, I've been put in charge of Yuga Labs' entry into Korea,” Bored Kiki tweeted. “The community is so fun that I kept enjoying it, and it seems like such fun opportunities come along because of that Going forward, I'll do my best as the Korean guide for Monkey Club, Otherside, ApeCoin, and Yuga Labs! Trust me, im your fav korean ape”

As the Gazette previously reported, the club's move into South Korea comes less than two weeks after Yuga Labs announced it was joining China's versions of TikTok and Instagram, RedNote and Douyin, to connect with Mandarin speaking Apes around the swamp.

“BAYC has always been global, and we’re continuing to build deeper connections across APAC with official RedNote and Douyin accounts,” the BAYC tweeted at the time. More local content. More ways for the community to connect.”

As Yuga Labs continues ape-ing eastward, longtime BAYC member JBond, who is based in the Philippines and works with Bored N Hungry on its expansion efforts across Asia, tweeted that he's excited to see the club increasing its focus on the region.

“I am very happy to hear that @BoredApeYC is also going big on Korea, on top of China,” he said. “We at  @BorednHungry are very excited for this and would like to extend our support and collaboration to BAYC, Otherside, and $APE whenever possible in Seoul Kamsamisa, Bored Ape Yacht Club”

Tonight, we don't know exactly what Bored Kiki and Yuga Labs have planned for South Korea, but we do know that CEO Michael Figge will be heading to Taipei, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Seoul later this month to meet with community members, partners, and more to discuss all things BAYC, Otherside, and $Ape.

The Gazette will continue to follow Yuga Labs as it expands its presence across Asia. Stay tuned for updates!
