Let not your $Ape be troubled!

On Tuesday, Chimpers announced that it had taken a leap of faith, staking 100,000 $Ape into ApeChurch's decentralized House just days after launching its own Dojo Drop slot machine game on the dApp.
“We believe one of the biggest opportunities in Web3 is backing teams that are building real products,” Chimpers tweeted. “That's why we've staked 100,000 $APE into The House on @apechurch We've loved working together so far, launched our first Chimpers game Dojo Drop, and we're excited to be part of the platform's growth Builders backing builders .”
With the move, Chimpers becomes the second major NFT brand to back ApeChurch with a big amount of $Ape!
As the Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs CEO Michael Figge announced last month that the company had allocated 4 million $Ape to ApeChurch as a show of support for one of ApeChain's biggest builders.
“Well-run protocols and apps put their own attention and weight behind winners to amplify them,” Figge said. “We saw this with Phantom and Solana supporting Ansem….In that spirit, I think it’s important that we identify and back clear winners on ApeChain. @apechurch is one of them. Looking at the numbers onchain (defillama), it is the #1 app in its class by fees on any chain, the clear winner among apps built by our community. We need to get behind it at a protocol level.”
Following Chimpers' deposit, ApeChurch's total value locked climbed to approximately $1.39 million USD, making it the second largest gaming protocol by TVL in crypto, according to DefiLlama.
