GO TELL IT ON THE MOUNTAIN: The Mintotaurs Free Mint Is Coming April 20 And Every Gob Gets One!

The 3,333 mighty Mintotaurs are coming down from their mountaintop for a highly anticipated free mint on Blever beginning April 20th  and every Gob on Ape is invited to claim one!  Plus, Apes, Mutants, and Doggos will also get a chance to possibly ‘place hands’ and claim one too!

It was a Mintotaurs Monday in the ApeChain ecosystem as Gobs On Ape founder James Hall stopped by Bored Ape Yacht Club member Dutchee’s FOMO space to talk about his upcoming Mintotaurs mint, who can get one, and more.

 

During the space, Hall revealed that the Mintotaurs mint will begin with a free claim from April 20th through April 22nd for Gobs On Ape holders. Every Gob gets one Mintotaur!

 

After that, BAYC, MAYC, and BAKC holders will be invited to use their Shadows to claim a Mintotaur for free on a first-come, first-served basis.

“That’s their four-year anniversary and I think it’s a good way to onboard folks who maybe haven’t tried ApeChain,” Hall said. “It gives them almost no reason why not to come over to ApeChain and check some things out. I feel like it’s a good way to try and help onboard some folks!

Following the Yuga Labs NFT mint window, unannounced Shadowed and ApeChain collection holders will have a chance to mint a Mintotaur on a first-come, first-served basis. At this time, Hall has not confirmed which collections will receive allocations  and he recommended that no one buy an NFT just hoping for a spot in the mint.

Every Mintotaur will be a free mint across all three rounds, and the collection will carry a 4.2% royalty, according to Hall.

We don’t yet know what time the Mintotaurs mint will begin on April 20th. But Hall explained that by giving Gobs On Ape holders, Apes, and other collections separate windows, he’s tried to make the mint as smooth and fair as possible for everyone.

While the Mintotaurs haven’t launched yet, the ApeChain ecosystem already knows a fair bit about these mythical creatures.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Hall announced his second project, the Mintotaurs, on April Fools' Day and we now know he wasn’t joking!

 

 

Since then, we’ve learned that the Mintotaurs are friends, not foes, of the Gobs, and that they once helped purge an ancient evil from deep within the mines.

We also know they’re now descending from their mountain home to the Gobs’ land of Grimhold to be seen again.
