Opensea user,TheArtchitech, purchased Bored Ape #8650 and BAKC Dog #8650 for over 1 million dollars from BAYC member, Coco Bear, Sunday afternoon. The sale marks the club's first ever seven figure sale.

Bored Ape #8650 is a 6 trait gold fur ape with a lumberjack shirt and a Prussian helmet and a bored cigarette mouth. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #8650 is the 150th rarest ape, according to Rarity Tools.

BAKC Dog #8650 is a gold fur pup with shutter shades and a yellow fisherman’s hat. Based on these traits, BAKC #8650 is the 1238 rarest dog, According to Rarity Tools.

In recent weeks, the BAYC has seen a surge in gold fur ape and dog purchases. After this bundle sale, the floor price for a gold fur ape is 420 Eth or $1,260,000. The floor for a BAKC gold fur dog is 24.75 Eth.

The rise in gold fur apes price seems to be directly correlated with the BAYC crossing 5,000 unique members and the announcement that Christies will be auctioning bored apes at its Hong Kong location next month.
