Gucci&Yuga Labs Are Doing A KodaPendant Holder Snapshot Tomorrow. Here's what You Need To Know

It’s a luxurious week on the Otherside as Gucci and Yuga Labs prepare to do a wallet snapshot for Gucci KodaPendants holders and open the window for them to claim their physical necklaces beginning tomorrow.

“Heads up, Voyagers: The snapshot of KodaPendant holders will occur at 10AM ET on June 21st, 2023,” Yuga Labs tweeted from its OthersideMeta account this morning. “Any KodaPendant NFTs purchased after the snapshot WILL NOT be able to claim a physical version. More details regarding the claim can be found in the thread below.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Gucci sold 3,019 KodaPendants from its new Otherside Relics collection for 1,358,550 $Ape or $5,719,000 USD on April 7,2023.

With the purchase of a Gucci KodaPendent, Voyagers received an immediate metadata update to their Kodas or Vessels, an upcoming cosmetic upgrade to their avatars once the Otherside opens later this year, and a physical sterling silver Gucci Kodapendant necklace.

“After crafting special relics from precious pieces of the Obelisk to commemorate the creation of the Otherside, Blue encounters a mysterious golden Voyager,” Gucci wrote on its website. “The Voyager makes a proposal: Blue will teach the Voyager to master Otherside magic, and in turn, the Voyager will teach Blue to craft other exquisite items. From this alliance, the first of the Otherside Relics by Gucci collection is born: the Gucci KodaPendant necklace.”

Following the Kodapendant snapshot, the window for holders to claim their Gucci Kodapendant necklaces will open on June 21st at 12 P.M. EST. Holders will then have until July 6th at 12 P.M. EST to claim their IRL Otherside Relics, according to Gucci.

KodaPendants are the first of possibly many Otherside Relics by Gucci and they are part of the luxury fashion house’s multi-year partnership with Yuga Labs that was first announced on March 27th, 2023.

“We are excited to unveil this multifaceted partnership with Yuga Labs, a leader and creative pioneer in web3,” Robert Triefus, Gucci’s senior executive vice president, corporate and brand strategy, and chief executive of Gucci Vault & Metaverse Ventures, said in a press release at the time. “This will give us an active role in Otherside and 10KTF’s continuing narrative, unfolding in multiple forms.”
