HE LIKES THE ART: MetroTower Stacks 90 Pieces From The Doodles x Piet Mondrian Collection!

From Apes to art, MetroTower is stacking Mondrians just a month after sweeping seven primates.

On Friday, the Doodles x Piet Mondrian blind boxes and physical prints revealed, and fine art and crypto-native collectors alike began buying what they liked!

Among them was Bored Ape Yacht Club member MetroTower, who appears to really like the art.

From Territorial, which features a Doodled Cat in front of colorful Neo-Plasticism lines, to Liquid Pixels, which combines Piet Mondrian's iconic style with Burnt Toast's signature puke trait, MetroTower has been picking up pieces across the collaboration's three collections.

In total, the collector now holds 70 blind box pieces, 14 Focus prints, and six Coated Pinks, giving them 90 works across the collab.

As the Gazette previously reported, the Doodles x Piet Mondrian drop was nearly a century in the making and combines fine art with a crypto-native style to create a first of its kind collection.

 

"Piet Mondrian built a visual language so iconic that it’s still being remixed a century later, from streetwear to architecture and everything in between,” Burnt Toast said in an interview with OpenSea. “Being trusted by the Estate to work with that legacy and reimagine these works for the first time in history, is not something I take lightly. I'm honored to help bring Mondrian to a new age of collectors.”

 

 

Tonight, we do not know much about MetroTower, but we do know that the collector is relatively new to the NFT space. According to onchain activity, the wallet only began actively purchasing NFTs last month and previously swept seven Bored Apes.
