"HISTORY IN THE MAKING": Adam Weitsman Acquires One Of The Final Chimpers Diamond Fleece NFTs That Can Reveal A Missing Genesis Chimper!

A never before seen Genesis Chimper may be headed to the Dojo soon after collector Adam Weitsman acquired one of the last Diamond Fleece NFTs that can be burned to reveal the missing monkey.

On Friday, Weitsman announced that he had acquired one of the two remaining Diamond Fleece NFTs from the Chimpers Chronicles collection from fellow collector CryptoBrendle for 10 ETH, or roughly $20,700 USD.

 

“Diamond Fleece finally acquired,” Weitsman wrote. “For those who don’t know, this is one of the most important artifacts in the Chimpers ecosystem. After the Boring Ape Chronicles series, full set holders were airdropped this “mystery” NFT… which later became the origin of the 100 Genesis 1/1 Chimpers, the heroes and villains of the Chimpverse. Since early 2022, 98 Genesis Chimpers have been revealed. Only 2 Diamond Fleece remained untouched. Today, I had the honour of acquiring one from   cryptobrendle . Thank you for the flawless transaction and your kindness. After the acquisition, Chimpers Co-Founder Insight Chimp told the Gazette that this is one of the biggest things ever to happen at the Dojo!

 

“It feels like history in the making,” he said. “The Diamond Fleece is the rarest artifact in the Chimpers ecosystem the very origin of the brand itself. For over four years, only two Diamond Fleeces have remained, waiting to be burned.  We never thought we’d witness the final two Genesis Chimps… but thanks to Adam, that moment might finally be here.”

 

While Weitsman has not publicly commented on if or when he plans to burn his newly acquired Diamond Fleece and reveal the second to last Genesis Chimp, Insight Chimp did tease that “Adam did indeed say he wants to plan something.”
