After being undisturbed for centuries, the HV-MTL Mechs “came through the rift” and they are off the blockchain!
Tuesday was anything but boring around the Bored Ape Yacht Club as 30,000 Evo 1 HV-MTL Mechs entered swamp!
“They’ve made it through the rift,” the BAYC tweeted this afternoon. “HV-MTL Evo 1’s are here.”
Apes and HV-MTL holders were crying tears of joy as they finally got the chance to meet their Mechs.
But not everyone was happy to see these robotic creatures.
After the Mechs came through the rift, BAYC Co-Founder Garga tweeted that the robotic collection means business.
“The HV's are here and they are ready to fuck shit up,” he tweeted.
While we still do not know much about the HV-MTLs, we do know that they are currently in their first form and that their evolutions will be impacted by holders' choices.
“Your HV is a unique, dynamic NFT that evolves based on your decisions, so don't fuck this up,” the BAYC explained. “There are eight different HV-Types and countless different trait combinations. Each has its own skills, personality, and roles, but they're all designed to transform.”
Further, we know that Gary the Dog Prophet believes the HV-MTLs will play a major role in an epic battle.
“Gary is convinced there’s a cosmic battle on the horizon and needs every HV (pronounced Heavy) to evolve into its final form before it’s too late,” the BAYC wrote on its HV-MTL website. “But are the HVs new friends — or is there reason to be wary?”
While nothing is confirmed, it seems that the HV-MTL Mechs will evolve via the HV-MTL Forge.
“In HV-MTL Forge: build and customize a workshop that prepares your HVs for their evolution,” the BAYC wrote. “Show off your creations to climb the leaderboard and unlock special abilities. Take risks and face the dangers of the rift to discover blueprints, gather materials, and craft upgrades.”
The HV-MTL Forge may be part of the “Journey to EVO2” that is set to begin in June, according to the BAYC’s MDvMM website.
