Solana summer is about to be sweet as Candy Digital opens for business on the blockchain and prepares to migrate cards, comics, Bat Cowls, and more!
On Monday, Candy Digital's new owner and CEO, Tad Smith, announced that the sports and entertainment collectibles company was officially live on Solana and that collectors' NFTs would soon be fully onchain.

“This launch gives fans a first look at the new Candy experience, including deeper asset details, migration tracking, wallet visibility, updated terms, and the foundation for self-custody and secondary trading,” Smith wrote in a new Candy article today.”
As the Gazette previously reported, today's move to Solana comes a few months after former Sotheby's CEO and Doodles Chairman Tad Smith first began discussing the platform and just two weeks after officially taking over the company.
Tonight, longtime collectors can log into the new and improved Candy platform, check out their collections, set up two factor authentication, and monitor the status of their asset migrations. Everyone's NFTs should be on Soalana By June 8th.

Looking ahead, collectors can expect secondary trading to launch shortly after Candy's asset migration is complete, followed by the company addressing holders' outstanding balances on or around June 16. After that, Candy hopes to begin selling new items to the community on or around June 22, though no official details or dates regarding those drops have been announced yet.
"Today’s launch is the start of the new Candy site experience,” Smith wrote. “Candy’s new era is no longer just on the way. It starts today.”
The Gazette is working to learn more about all things Candy and will be reporting on this migration every step of the way. We'll let you know when and how you can get in on the platform's first official Solana drops. Stay tuned for updates!
