NFTs may be down across the board, but as the market sees red, this longtime Bored Ape Yacht Club member and crypto whale is seeing gold, adding another gold fur Bored Ape to his top tier collection!

Late Tuesday night, BAYC member FreeLunch purchased Bored Ape #3105 for 90 ETH or $360,000 USD.

Bored Ape #3105 is a six-trait, solid gold fur primate wearing a Laurel Wreath and Bandolier outfit. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #3105 is the 91st rarest Bored Ape, according to Magic Eden.

After the purchase, the Gazette reached out to FreeLunch for comment but did not immediately hear back. However, the notable collector did tweet, “The coin with the best long-term potential is Bitcoin. The coin with the best utility and passive income is USDT/C. NFTs are neither. They are just for flexing.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, this cavalier attitude toward collectibles is nothing new for FreeLunch. Over the years, he has acquired many rare Apes, Punks, and NFTs. Today, his collection features 23 Bored Apes, including five gold fur primates, eight CryptoPunks, 38 Pudgy Penguins, 116 Azukis, and more, according to OpenSea data.

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow FreeLunch and will let you know what he does next. Stay tuned for updates!
