Just put the fries and the Pokémon cards in the bag!

Rumors were circulating on X today that everyone could soon be catching Pokémon and grabbing a bite at McDonald’s, after popular Pokémon outlet PokéBeach reported that the iconic fast food brand may be putting Pokémon cards in Happy Meals this February.

“The speculation stems from a leaked internal listing of McDonald’s Happy Meal toy schedules for 2026, which reportedly includes a Pokemon Trading Card Game promo pack.” Poke Beach’s GBet wrote. “Notably, the schedule suggests the event could begin in February 2026, aligning closely with Pokémon Day on February 27th, the annual celebration marking the franchise’s original Japanese launch.”

At this time, neither Pokémon nor McDonald's has confirmed that this Happy Meal collaboration is actually happening. But it’s clear that everyone has been trying to catch ’em all lately.

As the Gazette previously reported, collectors across Web3 have been ripping Pokémon packs in phygital form since the summer, and anyone paying attention has heard of the Kabuto King and his quest to catch all of the first edition prehistoric Pokémon.

On top of that, Logan Paul recently announced that his $5 million PSA 10 Pikachu Illustrator card will be heading to auction this February at Goldin.

So if this rumored Pokémon Happy Meal collaboration does come together, the hype could be supersized.

The Gazette will continue to follow all things Pokémon and will let you know when more information about this Happy Meal becomes available. Stay tuned for updates!
