It was a far out Friday around the swamp after Bored Ape Yacht Club member and entrepreneur Adam Weitsman made a psychedelic deal with Yuga Labs to acquire a squiggly Mega Koda that lives atop an Acid deed!

Late night, Weitsman took to the timeline and announced that he had acquired another Mega Koda in an over the counter deal with Yuga Labs.

“New Mega family member added tonight,” he wrote. “Love and respect so many people I have met in this amazing space. Kodas unite !!!! “

Weitsman's new Mega Koda is Koda #9948, a one-of-a-kind being with a Spindle Dome Head, Squiggles eyes, and a Taco River Core. The Mega Koda is also wearing Gunk Threading clothing and is armed with an Undulate Staff.

Mega Koda #9948 calls Otherdeed #37674, a tier one Acid land, home and has not been decoupled yet, according to Opensea data.

At this time, we do not know what Weitsman paid for the Mega Koda, but we do know that this is the second Mega Koda he has purchased over the counter from Yuga Labs in the past five months.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Weitsman purchased Mega Koda #9994, which lived atop a Void Otherdeed, from Yuga Labs in December 2024.

We also know that Weitsman recently became the metaverse’s fourth largest land owner after acquiring 1,402 Otherdeeds from Zymerce earlier this month.

As we wait to see what Weitsman has planned with all these Mega Kodas and land, one thing is clear: he’s bullish on Yuga Labs and their vision for the future of Web3.

“Went into this weekend’s meetings with Alex and Dennis from @farawaygg@CryptoGargafrom @BoredApeYC @yugalabswith skepticism, but an open mind," Weitsman tweeted last summer. "I left feeling the HIGHEST level of confidence and trust after speaking with them. Epic things ahead. These guys are the real deal!”

At the time of this article’s publication, Weitsman now holds five of the 13 Mega Mutant Apes, three Bored Apes, one additional Mutant Ape, a Meebit, four Mega Kodas, 1,404 Otherdeeds, three Bored Ape Kennel Club pups, the Golden Key from Dookey Dash, 499 HV-MTLs, and a CryptoPunk.

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Weitsman and will let you know what he does next around the swamp. Stay tuned for updates!
