Seven years after the 10,000 CryptoPunks were made available on Ethereum as a free-to-claim project, Yuga Labs, who purchased the CryptoPunks Collection from Larva Labs in March 2022, along with the collection’s founders, artists, and early supporters, put ‘Punks’ to paper, writing an official account of those early days according to those who were there for the claim and helped make the collection iconic.
Along with stories and anecdotes and from community members like 0xQuit, Alexis Ohanian, and SNOWFRO, ‘Free to Claim’ also features all 10,000 CryptoPunks in a 400+ page catalogue that gets into every detail of these 24x24 algorithmically generated works of art.
